Basin Plan Review discussion with MDBA team

Description

About the event

In February, the Murray Darling Basin Authority will release a Discussion Paper as part of the Basin Plan Review. The Discussion Paper is a step in undertaking the first formal review of the Basin Plan and sets out the Authority’s initial thinking on issues and opportunities for the Basin Plan.

Following the release of the Discussion Paper, there is a 12-week window for formal submissions to be provided by interested stakeholders. After the formal submission process, the Authority will consolidate what they’ve heard, and will prepare a final Review Report that will be delivered to the Minister in late 2026. The final Review Report will make recommendations about opportunities or changes for the Basin Plan.

We would like to invite you to a discussion with the MDBA’s Executive Director, Science and Knowledge Scott Ashby and other senior staff from the MDBA when they visit our region as part of the 12-week consultation period.
