Video launch – Reasons for Hope

The CLLMM Research Centre launched Reasons for Hope this past week – a short film about the Centre’s landscape revegetation project, and all of the community efforts in revegetation for the past 10 years.

The landscape revegetation project has been assessing the impact of extensive revegetation following the Millennium Drought on the region’s landscapes. More than 5 million native plants were put in the ground between 2011 to 2015. The team have been investigating revegetation on three levels – soil health, bird responses and revegetation growth. By integrating these elements, they’ve gained valuable insights into how the ecosystem responds to revegetation efforts.

Reasons for Hope shares the stories of this work. The film is narrated by students from Investigator College and highlights revegetation efforts in the region over the past 15 years.
